Hesham Ahmed, MD - Chief Resident of Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center

Dr. Hesham Ahmed is originally from Egypt.
He graduated from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine in Cairo in 1994.
He had then spent one year in the Egyptian Air Force as a Medical Officer.

He began his residency in general surgery in Egypt and continued until 1999,
when he had emigrated to the United States.

Upon arrival in the US, he worked in research at the Staten Island University
Hospital. He began his general surgery residency in 2002 at the Staten Island
University Hospital and continued his training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
