Dr. Hardin was born in Guyana, South America and immigrated to the United States at the age of 3.
She attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, a seven year medical
program. She then completed her clinical training at SUNY Downstate where she
continued her residency training.
During her residency, Rosemarie completed a 2-year research fellowship investigating the utility of a novel drug for the treatment of sepsis. Her research years were productive resulting in several national presentations and
peer review publications. Her interest in pursuing her writing skills and editing also led her to publish several chapters during her residency including a chapter in Schwartz’s
Textbook of Surgery.
Dr. Hardin is currently a resident editor for Archives of Surgery. She plans
to continue her surgical training with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh with a plan to pursue pediatric cardiothoracic surgery. |
