Michael Timoney, M.D. - Chief Resident of Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center

Dr. Timoney graduated from Columbia College in 1988 with a degree in
Comparative Literature. He worked in news production at the New York Times
for several years and later worked as a furniture maker and designer.

He decided to pursue a career in Medicine and returned to Columbia to attend
it's post-baccalaureate pre-med program. He attended the Mt. Sinai School of
Medicine in New York and crossed the East River to train in Surgery at Downstate.

He will continue his training at Lutheran Medical Center where he
will pursue a fellowship in Minimally Invasive surgery.
