Dr. Kim is from Chicago, Illinois. She studied Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University and went to medical school at the New York University School of Medicine. She did her General Surgery residency training at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey.
