About:

Dr. Daniel Kaufman is a board-certified plastic surgeon trained in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Kaufman is recognized by his mentors, peers, and students as a compassionate surgeon with artistic vision and excellent technical skills.

Dr. Kaufman graduated with Cum Laude honors from Binghamton University, where he was chosen as a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, a distinction which allows him to stay on the forefront of state-of-the-art technological advancements and emerging plastic surgery techniques.

Dr. Kaufman completed a rigorous residency training program in General Surgery at Downstate Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. During this time he also completed a surgical research fellowship performing cutting-edge scientific and clinical research in obesity and metabolic disorders, bariatric surgery, and post-massive weight loss body contouring surgery. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals, and has been invited as a speaker at major national and international scientific meetings.

Dr. Kaufman continued his postgraduate training as fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he again served as Chief Resident at some of New York’s top hospitals. During this time Dr. Kaufman obtained extensive experience in complex aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the entire body, learning from some of the most preeminent surgeons in the country.

Dr. Kaufman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He relentlessly strives for exceptional care and results for his patients. In his eyes, plastic surgery is the ultimate culmination of science and art.
