Dr. O'Neill received her nursing degree from Kings County Hospital School of Nursing in
1977. She received her medical degree, summa cum laude from SUNY - Downstate
Medical Center School of Medicine in 1986.
Dr. O'Neill did training in surgical research from 1988 to 1990. She finished her training
at SUNY Downstate Medical Center (Health Science Center at Brooklyn) in 1993. She
then completed a clinical fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Miami.
