Dr. Shorter completed his BA at Harvard University in 1975.
He received his MD from John Hopkins University Medical School in 1979 and completed his surgical residency at John Hopkins Hospital from 1983-1987.
He subsequently completed fellowship training at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
