The Division of Trauma Surgery and Critical Care provides complete surgical care for trauma patients and other critically ill patients within central Brooklyn.

Patients are cared for at Kings County Hospital Center, a level 1 trauma center with recently renovated facilities featuring a state of the art dedicated Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).

Patients with multiple injuries including orthopedic, neurosurgical and/or maxillofacial injuries are cared for using a comprehensive multidisciplinarian approach with trauma surgery with other surgical sub-specialties.
