The Vascular Laboratory is a specialized diagnostic facility to help doctors test and diagnose patients with vascular conditions. Staffed by highly-trained vascular technicians and doctors, the Non-invasive Vascular Lab is accredited by Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).
The Vascular Laboratory’s purpose is to serve health care providers and their patients by utilizing advanced, noninvasive, diagnostic, medical ultrasound technology while ensuring high quality patient care and attention to quality assurance.
The Most Common Diagnostic Studies Available
Carotid Duplex
In this exam, ultrasound is used to evaluate the carotid arteries located in the neck that feed the brain with blood.
Venous Duplex
During venous Duplex, ultrasound is used to evaluate the veins that carry blood to the heart from the legs or arms. The veins are examined for a presence of Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) and Chronic Venous Insufficiency (Varicose veins).
Arterial DuplexPeripheral arteries in arms and legs are evaluated for reduced blood flow, narrowing or blockage.
Bypass graft surveillance is provided also.
Arterial Pressures and Waveforms
Ultrasound and blood pressure cuffs are used to evaluate the arteries that supply the arms and legs with blood. The test is used to locate areas of blockage within the arteies.
Renal (Kidney) Arterial Duplex
During this test arteries supplying the kidney are evaluated.
Aorto-Iliac Duplex
In this exam ultrasound is used to evaluate abdominal aorta aneurysm. An abdominal aorta ultrasound can detect aneurysms as well as blockages in the lower portion of the aorta and can also be used to check the aorta after repair.
