The Division of Vascular Surgery provides diagnosis and treatment for a wide variety of circulatory disorders. The services are offered on a scheduled as well as emergency basis all the time. Among the procedures performed by the vascular service are a wide array of non-invasive vascular tests through our fully ICAVL- accredited vascular laboratory for the diagnosis of:
- Carotid Artery Disease
- Venous Disease
- Peripheral Vascular Disease
- Aortic, Renal Artery & Mesenteric Vascular Disease
The non-invasive lab is also used to follow-up postoperative patients and to monitor their progress. The vascular surgical division routinely offers surgery for the treatment of:
- Carotid Artery Disease & Aortic Aneurysms
- Renal & Mesenteric Artery Disease
- Lower Extremity Limb Salvage
Utilizing state-of-the-art imaging equipment the expertise within the division enables the surgeons to treat many of the vascular ailments via minimally-invasive approaches.
An active aortic endograft program for the treatment of aortic aneurysms through a minimally-invasive approach is in effect. This technology has many advantages, most importantly, a reduction in the overall mortality rate associated with surgical repair.
Other advanced catheter-based therapies to treat renal vascular disease and lower extremity revascularization are practiced routinely. |
